Dixie National Rodeo runs for 24 days at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds and sees thousands of people in attendance. Riding some of the best Harper and Morgan Rodeo Cowboys Champion stock from all over the World Compete for big jackpots. The best of the best of the bull fighters, ropers, rodeo clowns, barrel racers and bull-doggers come out in droves and keep crowds entertained with a fast-paced action and antics. The Dixie National Rodeo happens in the coliseum with more than 10 rodeos in all. This is the most exciting part of the Mississippi Dixie National Rodeo and one of the main reasons people join the celebrations if they're not showing or selling of livestock.

The Dixie National Rodeo and Livestock Show Parade kicks off around the first week of February and is a colorful and fun affair.
After the Mississippi State Fair The Mississippi Dixie National Rodeo is the biggest event in Jackson. People as far as the southern cities of Biloxi and Gulfport make the long drive north for the best and most exciting rodeos in the state. With top-notch Cowboys, Longhorns and bucking Broncos you might think that it's the Wild West! Full of family fun there are things going on for all ages and the little ones will never complain of being bored.
